1996 – Latur APPI Trauma Centre managed by Swami Vivekanand Charitable Trust.

The project received single largest matching grant of US $100,000.00 in the history of the Club for medical equipment at the Trauma Unit. The Trauma Centre received regular support and visits from Rotary Club of Latur our host partners in the project. The region has high number of mortalities from accidents and there was absence of well equipped trauma hospitals. Rotary Clubs of Birmingham and Latur provided funding of $50,000.00 and received additional matching grant of $50,000.00 from Rotary Foundation for medical equipment.
