Waterborne disease prevention
The most challenging of partnership project was the Clean Drinking Water programme undertaken as a matching grant project with PDG Bipin Vadhar of Rotary Club of Jamnagar in 2007. The project involved 41 RC clubs, 266 schools and supported 162,902 pupils in this school to get clean drinking water. Water borne diseases have been a major problem in the region and has taken many lives of young children over recent years.
Jamnagar Disaster Management Centre: Saving Lives raised £15,000.00 to build Disaster Management Centre in partnership with Rotary Club of Jamnagar. The building of Jamnagar Disaster Management Centre was completed in ……. and Jamnagar Club has reported that over 400 people have taken part in Community Disaster Management Training.
